This page shows the range of wagon solebar plate or marking decals available in this group. To use it to select a paricular decal type, please click on the button below the relevant illustration. This will take you back to the main wagon plates and markings decals page while setting the decal type to that of the illustration you have selected. There you will be able to make changes to the basic plate or marking decal you've selected here.

Notes

All wagons were fitted with clips, or other devices, to hold a label or ticket that gave details of the current destination of the wagon and sometimes also details of its load. The label was usually 5 in. x 4 in. and printed on Manilla card, either white or buff. Clips were initially fastened direct to the solebar, but were later mounted on wooden blocks. In some cases, particularly for some vans, the clips were mounted on the wagon body, where they could be accessed from more easily from a loading platform.

To use the label and clip decals above, you will need to remove any moulded clip detail on your model. If the clip is a separate component, you may be able to fit it on top of the decal once it has been applied.
